2019 Successful Initiative
In 2014, She Rides Penticton was started with the sole intent of getting more women on bikes. People often ask “why a woman’s program?”. Simply put, women are not small men, some need different needs met to feel comfortable engaging in sport and physical activity. It worked. And girls are no different.
Girls drop out of sport and physical activity at a rate 6x greater than boys. That is unfortunate considering the impact we know physical activity has on health for life.
